Follow the First Branch of the White River along Route 110 and visit two unique sheep farms. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hollow Hills Farm featuring Shetland sheep. Vermont Grand View Farm featuring Romney sheep, angora goats, and angora rabbits. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Learn about two unique breeds of sheep and how the shepherds care for them. See demonstrations of skirting fleeces, spinning wool into yarn, felting, and weaving. See the wonderful products made using farm raised wool. |
| Hollow Hills Farm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hollow Hills Farm in Tunbridge, VT raises a small flock of registered purebred Shetland sheep. Luxuriously soft wool is handspun into yarn and then hand-dyed to nature's hues using flowers, barks and roots. Also offering tanned sheepskins, roving and raw skirted fleeces. |
| Vermont Grand View Farm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grand View Farm a small family sheep farm nestled on a hillside. The Goodling family sells Vermont yarn CSA shares for both mill spun and hand spun, and natural colored and white Romney breeding stock. They also have a small herd of pure bred registered angora goats. Angora rabbits and a guard llama complete the Goodling's small fiber farm. |
